Weekend Classes at the Studio

We offer an array of art classes at the studio that convene for one 3-hour session per week for 4 or 8 consecutive weeks. These classes meet during the day on weekends and focus on either drawing or painting.

Weekend classes are ideal for students who wish to study on a more casual basis, since they are available a la carte – meaning we don't require any particular sequence of study. Take the classes that interest you, in any sequence you choose. Students looking for a more sustained and structured approach to study should consider enrolling in our Weekday Atelier instead.

For more information about our weekly classes, browse the class offerings below. Click the "More Info" button to see a description of each class.

Don't Be Left Out!

Our classes frequently fill to capacity. Enter your name and email address below to be reminded in advance when a new class cycle is going to start. That way, you can get signed-up before enrollment is cut off.

Where Do I Start?

If you're new to Vitruvian, we recommend you start with a drawing class. Drawing is the foundation of representational art, and even if you're interested in painting or sculpture down the road, you'll get more out of those courses if you've spent some time drawing first. Drawing Basics is a great place to start on Saturdays, either in-studio or via our online course. On Sundays, consider Figure Drawing Basics or Portrait Drawing Basics. All these courses allow students to get familiar with the fundamental skills and procedures of drawing, which carry over to any of our other offerings.
